Dance Improvisation

Course Number
DANI-111
Description

Dance Improvisation is designed for dancers of any level to begin or continue their studies in dance improvisation. A research oriented approach to discovering one's movement potential through improvisation, this movement elective allows students to explore the areas of composition and technique, which underlie the relationship between the creative self and the body/mind. The technical work will center on kinesthetics rather than aesthetics, utilizing a study of perception to rediscover how dancers move and are moved.
