Record Production Projects 1

Course Number
IR-305
Description

This course takes students through the essential stages of music production, from developing an initial idea to delivering a polished final mix, and emphasizes both creative direction and professional execution. Students will explore pre-production planning, collaboration, critical listening, and technical refinement while learning how to shape a song’s artistic and commercial impact. Through hands-on experience, they will work with live musicians or develop in-the-box productions using modern beat-making and arrangement techniques, making key creative and technical decisions along the way. By the end of the course, students will have submitted multiple demos and selected one to fully produce, strengthening their skills in arrangement, recording, editing, and mixing within a professional workflow.
