Advanced Projects in Creative Coding

Course Number
MTEC-498
Description

Working closely with a faculty mentor, students will conceptualize, plan, and execute a substantial creative coding project, demonstrating their programming proficiency and ability to apply coding skills in innovative and artistic ways. Student projects may include developing AI-driven music tools, creating extended reality (XR) experiences, designing interactive systems for digital live performance, building custom music software or plugins, constructing multi-media installations, developing playback engineering solutions, or creating new digital musical instruments. The specific nature of the project will be determined by written agreement between the student and instructor, allowing for personalized exploration that aligns with the student’s broader musical and career goals.
