Description

In this course, students will explore different approaches to performance that focus on storytelling primarily through physical movement using dynamic gesture, music and improvisation. Students will investigate Crossings, introduced by the great theater director, Jerzy Grotowski. They will also delve into the Chekhov Technique developed by the visionary actor, director and teacher, Michael Chekhov, as well as the groundbreaking approaches of the late Pina Bausch and her Tanztheater Wuppertal.
