Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.
This is my eighth semester at Berklee, and I truly cherish every single day here. From working at the CTC [Creative Technology Center] to spending countless hours in the studios, I’ve been able to grow not only as an artist but also as a collaborator. Over the years, I’ve produced and written at least 50 songs annually, each shaped by the incredible friends and classmates I’ve had the privilege of creating with. Berklee has also given me the chance to learn from inspiring professors who continue to push me forward. I’m deeply grateful for everything this community has made possible.
When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?
One of my favorite classes so far has been my MP-320 Production class. It has pushed me beyond basic production into advanced, studio-level engineering, where I work closely with artists both in and out of the studio. In this course, I’ve been able to transform rough demos into fully realized, professional-quality tracks while learning to run sessions, manage complex signal chains, and apply advanced mixing techniques. I love the collaborative energy, the freedom to experiment with sounds and technology, and the challenge of turning someone else’s creative vision into a polished record. This class has been one of the most rewarding and inspiring experiences of my time at Berklee.
What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?
Boston is so cold and windy, but Berklee is worth it!
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?
If Berklee has it, use it. If Berklee can help you, ask for it. Learn how to ask for help!
Where is your favorite place on campus?
CTC (Creative Technology Center). I've been coming here a lot since the first semester, and now I'm working here as a peer trainer in Logic and Ableton! Best place ever.
Why did you choose Berklee?
I chose Berklee because my dad went here as well. Hearing his stories and experiences made me fall in love with the school from a young age. I was also drawn to Berklee because of the wide variety of courses, majors, and minors, which allows me to explore different aspects of music and grow as an artist in so many ways.
What are your plans for after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to be based in Los Angeles while continuing to work remotely between Vietnam and LA. This will allow me to stay connected to both music scenes, collaborate with artists across different cultures, and expand my reach as a producer and songwriter.
What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?
I love being involved in producing and creating live shows and performances. Everything I’ve learned at Berklee gets to come alive in the real world, allowing me to turn my skills and ideas into experiences people can feel and enjoy.
Where do you hope to perform this coming year?
I'd love to perform at the BPC [Berklee Performance Center] again this coming year! I'll make it happen again.
