Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.
My favorite Berklee experience so far has been working on collaborative projects with other musicians. It's inspiring to bring different ideas together and see a song or performance come to life through teamwork and creativity.
When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?
My favorite class so far was Intro to Music Therapy because it opened the door to the field I want to major in. It helped me discover my passion for using music to support and heal others.
What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?
My favorite part about studying and living in Boston is the vibrant arts and music scene. There's always live music, cultural events, and creative energy around the city, which makes it an inspiring place to grow as a musician.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music/Boston Conservatory at Berklee?
Don't be afraid to be you! Be true to your unique musical voice and let that shine in your application. Berklee values individuality and passion just as much as technical skill.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the Caf! It was my go-to place to hang out with friends and meet new people.
Why did you choose Berklee?
I chose Berklee because it represents the highest level of musical education and a chance to grow among the best. To me, getting accepted means I'm one step closer to turning my dream into reality. I live by the quote, "If your dreams don't scare you, they aren't big enough," and Berklee is exactly that kind of dream: big, bold, and worth chasing.
What are your plans for after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to work in both of my major fields, performing as an artist and practicing as a music therapist. I'm especially passionate about using music therapy to support individuals with disabilities and make a positive impact through music.
What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you've been involved in at Berklee?
My favorite part about performing at the BPC, Berklee's biggest stage, was connecting with the audience through folkloric Arabic music. Even though it wasn't familiar to many, the rhythms and sounds brought joy and energy to the room. It was a powerful reminder of how music can bridge cultures.
Where do you hope to perform this coming year?
I hope to perform again at the BPC! It was such a fulfilling experience.
