Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.

Hands down, the most exciting project has to be the 2025 Red Bull x Berklee Scoring Challenge! I had the opportunity, along with nine other students from Berklee and the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, to have my music recorded and performed by the Synchron Orchestra at the amazing Synchron Stage in Vienna, Austria! Each of us got to write a hybrid cinematic cue for Red Bull, which was then orchestrated by world-class Hollywood orchestrators and recorded at the Synchron Stage, which is the studio responsible for recording the soundtracks for projects like Captain America: Brave New World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission: ImpossibleDead Reckoning, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Fortnite, and so many other amazing projects!

When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?

My favorite class so far has to be my Intro to Composition and Orchestration class, and what made it special was the teacher! Akram Haddad taught the class, and he truly made it an incredible learning environment. I knew a decent amount about film scoring before getting to Berklee, but Akram really helped me to fill in the gaps for the things I wasn't really sure on. The professors at Berklee and Boston Conservatory are top-notch professionals who all have experience in the industry, and it's truly amazing to get to spend time with them and try to soak up as much information and guidance as possible.

What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?

Coming from a relatively small college town in Indiana, Boston felt huge at first, but instead of being overwhelming, it's opened up a whole new perspective for me. Studying at Berklee has made the experience even more exciting and rewarding. Where I'm from, not many people pursue music seriously, so being surrounded by such a talented and passionate community has truly been a blessing.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music/Boston Conservatory at Berklee?

Just be yourself! Berklee is an incredibly diverse community with students and faculty from all over the worldit's one of the things that makes the school so special! Don't be afraid to show who you are as an artist and what makes your voice unique. Just lean into what excites you most about music and let that shine!

Where is your favorite place on campus?

Although not directly on campus, I really enjoy the Christian Science Center! When the weather is nice, that whole area makes for some really nice walking paths, and it's always fun to take the football out for a spin with some friends!

Why did you choose Berklee?

I've wanted to become a professional film composer since the ninth grade. I didn't apply to a lot of schools, since film scoring isn't always offered at a lot of music colleges. Berklee, by far, had the program that stood out the most, and now that I've had a chance to experience it, I can definitely say the decision was well worth it.

What are your plans for after graduation?

The current plan is to move out to either LA or London to pursue work as a composer assistant or additional composer for film, TV, or video game projects.

What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you've been involved in at Berklee?

The atmosphere is always great! Everyone is so supportive, so I've never really been nervous to perform.

Where do you hope to perform this coming year?

Hopefully I'll get to do some more shows at the BPC!
