Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.
My most rewarding experience at Berklee so far has been serving as the treasurer of the Student Government Association. This role has allowed me to build meaningful connections across the institution while actively contributing to a better student experience. I take pride in helping organize events, gathering feedback on areas for improvement, and working to implement positive changes within the Berklee community.
When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?
I thoroughly enjoyed my private instruction experience. My professor was not only highly knowledgeable in vocal technique and training, but also approachable and supportive. Our lessons often included meaningful conversations, allowing us to build a strong connection both professionally and personally.
What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?
One of the things I appreciate most about Berklee's location is the vibrant, city-centered environment. Being in the heart of Boston provides access to a wide range of diverse cultural experiences and fosters a strong sense of community. I enjoy exploring the city, taking in the beautiful scenery both on and off campus, and experiencing the energy and liveliness that surrounds us.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music/Boston Conservatory at Berklee?
I would encourage new students to get involved in the Berklee community through clubs, on-campus jobs, and other opportunities. Being engaged is both rewarding and valuable. It helps you build meaningful connections, gain experience, and move closer to achieving your goals. The class schedule is also very manageable, allowing you to balance academics with extracurricular involvement while still growing as an artist and professional.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the 160 Caf. It's not just a spot to grab a good meal; it's also a vibrant, welcoming space where students from all semesters and career paths come together. I especially enjoy the Caf shows, which highlight the incredible talent within our student body and further strengthen the sense of community at Berklee.
Why did you choose Berklee?
I chose Berklee because of the incredible knowledge and expertise shared not only by the faculty and staff, but also by the students. I was excited to learn about the school's diversity and the wide range of perspectives it brings. Music has been my passion since childhood, and the opportunity to grow my network and connect with like-minded individuals made Berklee the perfect choice for me.
What are your plans for after graduation?
My goal is to become a music producer and eventually start my own production studio. I hope to leverage the connections I make at Berklee to create opportunities, not just for myself, but for other students as well—to pursue their dreams and turn their passions into meaningful careers.
What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you've been involved in at Berklee?
I've truly enjoyed getting to experience the incredible talent of Berklee students. Before coming here, I didn't have much exposure to live performances, especially not by people my own age. Attending Caf shows, local gigs, and other events opened my eyes to the uniqueness and creativity each student brings. In addition, the faculty and student staff have been incredibly welcoming and supportive, making every experience enjoyable and easy to be part of.
Where do you hope to perform this coming year?
I look forward to performing at the Caf with my friends this year!
