The David Friend Recital Hall, located in the Genko Uchida building at 921 Boylston Street, is a semicircular performance space with a horseshoe-shaped balcony, designed by architect Shizuo Harada.

Viva Brasil presents a program of instrumental compositions that showcase the rich rhythmic traditions of Brazil—including partido alto, bossa nova, ijexá, samba, and baião. The MT Project is an innovative electric quintet that uniquely combines the sounds of a string quartet and percussion. Led by saxophonist Michael Tkachenko, they recently completed a successful tour in Israel with two sold-out concerts.
