doge's quintet will present a program of jazz fusion and standard jazz tunes. Their set includes works by John Scofield, Miles Davis, Robben Ford, Thaddeus Hogarth, Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, and Bob James.
The student Bebop Guitars Ensemble consists of five guitars, bass, and drums. The group consists of some of the best guitar players at Berklee College of Music. Their repertoire includes jazz, blues, and Latin grooves written specifically for the ensemble to showcase the unique characteristic of all five guitarists reading charts and playing together.
The 25th Solo/Duo Faculty Guitar Night features faculty from the Guitar Department in solo and duo settings. Guitarist Gabriel Américo performs a program of original modern compositions and Brazilian classics, celebrating the richness and diversity of Brazilian culture.
The duo of Kim Perlak and Francisco Mela connects the sounds of modern classical guitar and avant-garde percussion. Their original works and spontaneous compositions feature modern, impressionistic, lyrical guitar playing, and a full range of imaginative textures from the drum set. Through this new music, the duo invites listeners to become a part of each performance in spirit through their active listening presence.
Guitarist and composer Norman Zocher brings his genre-bending Electric Strings Quintet to the Berk Recital Hall. This concert, which draws from jazz, rock, R&B, country, and classical traditions, features Zocher on guitar, surrounded by fellow faculty members Mimi Rabson on violin, Rebecca Shrimpton on voice, Abby Aronson Zocher on bass, and Mike Connors on drums.

Assistant Professor Brooks Robertson will take the stage for a special evening of solo fingerstyle guitar. From Americana and country to blues and jazz, Robertson will perform songs rooted in the styles of legendary guitarists Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Buster B. Jones, Tommy Emmanuel, Lenny Breau, and more.
