What does the event support?
All proceeds fund college scholarships for students in Berklee City Music—our year-round, tuition-free music education program that reaches talented young people from under-resourced communities across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. For more than 30 years, City Music has harnessed the power of contemporary music to uplift, inspire, and launch the next generation of changemakers. Today, the City Music program is an international movement, serving almost 2,000 students regionally and more than 60,000 globally through a variety of partnerships and initiatives.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
The fair market value (FMV) of nondeductible goods and services received at Amplify Berklee is $250 per attendee. Berklee is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; the organization’s tax identification number is 04-2300472. Please note: US government regulations prohibit payment for event sponsorship or tickets from exempt organizations, including donor advised funds and bifurcation of grants (splitting the deductible portion from the non-deductible portion (FMV) of the grant). Fund-a-future donations can be funded 100% through your DAF. Berklee recommends that event attendees consult their donor-advised fund manager, tax advisor, and legal counsel for definitive tax guidance.
