Professional Writing Center

The Professional Writing Center (PWC) is located on the second floor of 150 Massachusetts Avenue, and serves the Composition, Contemporary Writing and Production, and Harmony and Jazz Composition departments. Students can visit the PWC to attend faculty office hours, sign up for Project Bands, or meet with an administrator for departmental concerns. 

Faculty Office Hours

Most of the faculty in the departments mentioned above have offices in the PWC; however, some have offices across the street at 155 Massachusetts Avenue. You can check which building your professor is in, as well as when their office hours are, on each department's page.

Department Administrators

Students can schedule meetings with chairs, assistant chairs, or department coordinators to address department-specific concerns, such as:

• declaring/dropping a major,
• population waivers,
• registration assistance,
• Credit by Exams (CBX), or
• general questions about a major or classes within a major.

Some chairs hold weekly office hours (listed on the pages linked above), while others require a meeting be scheduled, so be sure to double check if you need to plan ahead.
